As a mom of seven, my days often feel like a whirlwind of multitasking, transitioning seamlessly from discussing teenage dilemmas to managing toddlers, from guiding mini-adults into the world to handling diapers and potty training. It’s a juggling act of algebra and alphabets and everything in between within the realm of homeschooling.
In the midst of this beautifully chaotic journey, there are moments when I feel alone and a little zany. However, I am part of a wonderful community with moms just like me. Each unique family filled with children of all ages. In these instant connections, we recognize that we’ve shared the tears of joy, pride, anxiety, and episodes of lighthearted pandemonium that often come with raising a big, diverse family. It’s during these shared moments that I’m reminded I’m never alone; I’m in the company of kindred spirits.
Our photo session was scheduled during a week of unpredictable weather—heavy rain followed by intense sun and wind. So, we kept our session at Murrell Park short, with the promise of another rendezvous for a more extended shoot in the near future. I can’t wait to be back with this family; they feel like home to me and it’s nice not to feel alone.
When I meet other families like this one, I want to cling close to them as a source of inspiration, camaraderie, and affirmation. The children were not only joyful but also supportive of each other, displaying a remarkable sense of unity. The parents, radiated happiness and love, showing that whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, with God evidently at the center of their lives. It was truly heartwarming to witness their close-knit bond and the love that enveloped them
