Fort Worth Airfield Park Enchantment

It’s always such an honor when a family invites me back to photograph them again. This particular family is one of my favorites to capture—not just because they’re joyful and easy to work with, but because they bring a unique old-world charm everywhere they go.

They’re true Lord-of-the-Rings, Renaissance-fair kind of people, and what I love most is that they don’t even need props for that magical atmosphere to shine through. Their spirit, their connection, and their natural sense of adventure make every photo feel like a glimpse into a fantastical storybook.

The day began very gloomy, the sky heavy and overcast, but right at the end of the day, the shy sun peeked through—just enough to cast a soft golden glow over everything. It felt like a perfect cinematic moment, almost as if the clouds parted just for them.

We ended up shooting at Airfield Park in Fort Worth, a truly beautiful spot with massive willow trees, peaceful trails, and a charming waterfall feature. It was the perfect backdrop for a family who naturally brings a sense of wonder with them.

What a gift it is to step out of the rush of modern life for an hour and into something timeless—something full of imagination and just a hint of magic. I always leave their sessions feeling like I’ve traveled to another world.
