Senior Photos at the Kimbell Museum

A Session Inspired by Art

This week I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful senior graduate at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth. As someone who enjoys drawing and creativity, the museum felt like the perfect location to celebrate this exciting milestone.

While the Kimbell does not allow professional photography inside the museum galleries, the museum grounds offer plenty of beautiful architecture, clean lines, sculptures, and peaceful outdoor spaces that make a wonderful backdrop for portraits. I have to admit, I was a very disappointed to learn that professional photography isn’t permitted inside the museum. An art gallery photoshoot sounds like so much fun, and I’m determined to find a museum one day that will allow it!

After we finished photographing her senior portraits outside, we spent some time exploring the museum itself. One of the planned highlights of the day was a visit to the Holy Sepulcher exhibit. The exhibit is absolutely breathtaking and left us both in awe. While touring the galleries, I was able to photograph some of the artwork for her senior portfolio and personal memories of the day.

There may have even been one or two moments when my senior accidentally wandered into the frame while I was photographing the exhibits.

I loved combining her passion for her faith and beautiful art with her senior portraits and creating images that reflect who she is at this exciting stage of life. Congratulations to this talented young woman as she prepares for the next chapter of her journey!
